Individual Therapy

At Fruitful Journey Psychotherapy, individual therapy is grounded in relational healing. We recognize that true healing happens through safe, authentic connection and helps you experience new ways of relating to yourself and others. Individual therapy is a compassionate space to explore your Self, feel into the wisdom of your body, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

People often come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to change long-standing relational and emotional dynamics. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship stress, or major life transitions, individual therapy provides space to slow down, notice what’s happening inside, and move toward clarity and choice.

My approach is relational, nervous-system informed, and grounded in parts work. I integrate IFS (Internal Family Systems), somatic experiencing, and attachment-oriented therapy to help clients build a relationship with their inner world and understand how protective patterns developed in the first place. Instead of trying to “fix” or suppress coping strategies, we meet them with respect and curiosity, allowing real change to emerge from safety rather than force. I work extensively with LGBTQIA+ and POC clients, and I bring an anti-shaming, culturally aware lens to our work.

Individual therapy can support you in strengthening boundaries, improving communication, healing trauma responses, expanding emotional capacity, and reconnecting with meaning and pleasure. Our work moves at your pace — collaborative, non-pathologizing, and attuned to both the mind and body. If you’re interested in therapy but unsure where to start, that’s completely normal. Together, we can explore what you’re hoping for and build the tools, insight, and support to get there.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. ”

— Carl Rogers
